El vivir reclama continuamente el deber de servir

Y se hace memoria de los agravios, se hace memoria de los desagrados, se hace memoria de las fracasadas actitudes, se hace memoria de los errores de otros, se hace memoria de los fallos, y se crea el gran almacén de la memoria, no histórica, sino prejuiciosa, para emplearla en el presente y hacia el futuro.
También, de igual forma, se hace memoria de lo exitoso, de lo logrado, de lo hecho, para justificar la apatía, la desgana, el acomodo del presente y del futuro.
Se recogen una vez más –así, en esta polaridad- las memorias, para justificar un presente pasivo y un futuro sin existencia, que seguramente repetirá lo que criticó o lo que admiró. Y ahí quedará. Y consecuentemente, la evolución no se verá; la actitud de descubrir, de aprender y de incorporar algo para servir, para el deber de servir… queda sin realización.
Y así se hacen crónicas las historias y repetitivos los aconteceres.
Bien está el recuerdo de lo que impulsa, de lo que genera, de lo que acrecienta, que se haya comprobado y vivido.
Sin duda, es una de las capacidades del recuerdo.
La Llamada Orante nos implica, en cada encuentro, nuevos y diferentes enfoques de realidades cotidianas con la misión –sí, llaman para la misión- de construir nuevas realidades que nos liberen del yugo de la costumbre, la comodidad, la seguridad y la crítica del “accidente” permanente.
Todo ello nos lleva a clasificar a todo el entorno con normas, leyes o dictámenes que se hacen raíces, que se hacen fijos.
¿Dónde está ahí la esperanza? ¿Dónde está ahí el transcurrir hacia lo desconocido?
El análisis de los presentes y futuros en base a la raíz caduca de lo ocurrido, no promueve la naturaleza liberadora, servidora, del ser, sino que más bien lo acomoda, le da la –entre comillas- “seguridad” de lo que repetitivamente se hace.
Y así, cualquier innovación, cualquier declaración de algo distinto a lo instaurado, se hace montaña; se hace montaña a subir y… casi imposible de realizar.
Lo cotidiano se hace problema, y apenas aparece la actitud de resolver, de solucionar…; el deber de corregir, el deber de intervenir, participar… como un acontecer necesario; hacer del servicio un deber, y no –como ocurre habitualmente- el reclamo de los derechos sin haber cumplido los deberes.
La Llamada Orante nos incita a interpretar ese deber como una necesidad: necesidad del ser, en su servicio. Sí. Si cada ser aparece en la Creación porque es preciso y necesario –“preciso y necesario”-, y para ello se le dota de recursos, el deber se convierte en una necesidad. Y a través del servicio se cumplen las expectativas del presente y del futuro.
Y es así que, contemplando el deber como… no una obligación, no una imposición, sino lo que se necesita, la vida avanza en base a las necesidades, y precisa la realización de deberes para que esas necesidades se satisfagan.
Y es así que, cuando el ser se siente necesitado, que se le necesita, aplica su servicio de forma entusiasta, de manera resolutiva, para dar cumplimiento a sus dotes.
Servicio y deber se hacen, así, una unidad que se ajusta a las capacidades de cada ser.
Y cabe esperar, en esa posición, que nadie reclame a nadie su participación, sus apuestas de poner lo que se tiene y abrirse a nuevas –siempre nuevas- disposiciones.
El deber no es deuda, es necesidad.
La vida se hace y es –sin poderla definir- unidad comunitaria… ya sea cercana o lejana, según nuestras limitadísimas mediciones. No hay lejanía ni cercanía en la comunión de la vida; es una unidad que nos desborda y que… estamos diseñados en ella. No podemos escaparnos. ¿A dónde?
¿Es que acaso el individualista, personalista y sectario está fuera de la unidad de la comunión de la vida?
No. Al revés: se está aprovechando de esa comunión, para secuestrarla y esclavizarla, cosa que no logrará en ningún caso. Pero transitoriamente puede parecerlo.
Se piensa con frecuencia que los deberes están cumplidos…
Mas si se afina en nuestra comunión con el Misterio Creador, el cumplir es un límite.
La vida va más allá del cumplido.
Y al situarnos en vida, según las sugerencias del Misterio Creador, en ningún momento hay límite…; sí –según el transcurrir vital- un progresivo avance… que se puede ver más o menos, pero que ahí está, puesto que ahí estamos y ahí seguimos.
El querer doblegar los deberes y los servicios a un momento “cumplido” nos impide el salto hacia lo desconocido, hacia lo que aún no se ha aprendido.
Es preciso descubrirse en lo desconocido. Es necesario incidir en lo que puede ser, en lo que llega, sin saber qué es. Y abandonar las viejas fórmulas y las sentencias, porque con ellas quedamos atrapados en pasados.
Desafiar a la tendencia, desafiar a la indolencia, desafiar a la costumbre, desafiar a la sentencia…; desafiar sin violencia, con la contundencia del hacer, con las muestras de los deberes servidos que posibilitan el hacer de otros. Y a su vez, el hacer de otros nos posibilita para otros aconteceres.
Todo simultáneamente ocurre, aunque nos cueste ligarlo, aunque nos cueste entenderlo.
El concepto de “entender” se liga al de poseer, al de manejar, al de manipular.
Más que entender es incorporar aquello que nos promociona, aquello que nos hace desafiar los imposibles.
Si nos fijamos –como ejemplo- en habilidades ya asumidas como posibles, como por ejemplo el leer, escribir…, antes de que eso ocurra, a poco que sensatamente pensemos, se nos hace una posibilidad casi imposible.
Y hay que repetir y repetir y repetir esa letra, y otra y otra. Y si lo hacemos con la consciencia de que se consigue, es porque nos antecede una experiencia previa. Pero desde el punto de vista simplemente metodológico y de capacidad, se nos muestra –ese aprendiz de lengua, de letras y palabras- como imposible.
Es un ejemplo simple y quizás poco operativo, mas si nos fijamos en lo que ha supuesto, en el desarrollo evolutivo del ser, el poder establecer una escritura, una lectura… sin duda ha modificado nuestras perspectivas a todos los niveles.
Como ejemplo, nos puede servir –en consecuencia- para referenciarnos ante dificultades, inconvenientes y demás situaciones que parecen inabordables.
No ha de ser una escalada fatigosa y difícil… el asumir nuevas habilidades, nuevas responsabilidades, diferentes posibilidades. Basta con recordar, ante esas dificultades propias, las evoluciones que ha habido, que no se han conformado con: “Ah, es que es así”.
Si la comunidad de vida se hubiera conformado en cualquiera de los tiempos pasados, y no hubiera dado el salto a nuevas perspectivas, la vida como unidad habría desaparecido.
Y el hecho de que continúe es que vamos incorporando –a la vez que desechando posiciones estancadas- vamos incorporando innovaciones asombrosas.
Hoy tomamos como naturalidad, por ejemplo, el abrir un iPhone, una tableta o cualquiera de estos instrumentos y, en apenas una hora, por ejemplo, tener a nuestra disposición los principales periódicos, las principales agencias informativas.
Si nos hubiéramos quedado en el diario de la mañana, en el ir a tener que comprar tal o cual vespertino, y pasar y pasar hojas, no habríamos dado el salto de tener en un instante una visión amplificada de un acontecer.
Y lo vemos como normal ahora…; pero ha supuesto, sin duda, un esfuerzo, una dedicación, una investigación, una deducción, un creer, un aprender.
Hoy se ve, por ejemplo, más cine que nunca. Y hoy, más que nunca, están vacías las salas de cine. Por ejemplo. No es que sea ni mejor ni peor, pero ha sido un cambio absolutamente grandioso, el tener acceso a una cinematografía diaria, continua… cuando hace no mucho había que sacar la entrada y había que ver cuándo podría ir.
Podemos elegir cualquier aspecto –cualquier aspecto- de nuestra cotidianidad, para ver que la dedicación, el servicio y el deber de los que veían más allá de lo establecido han cambiado las hormas y las normas.
Una carta tardaba una semana, diez días, depende de a dónde fuera. Hoy, una carta tarda segundos, minutos, mientras se escribe o se lee casi al instante.
Y eso se ha producido –e insisto, se pueden poner miles de ejemplos en cualquier otra área-, se ha producido porque ha habido seres de humanidad que se han volcado en sus deberes y servicios. Han apostado por innovar. Han retado a lo imposible.
Y ese acontecer unitario representado en algunos, no sólo es una heroicidad de los que lo promocionaron –que lo es, pero no sólo es eso-; es una muestra de que ello es posibilitante para todos.
No podemos quedarnos con la idea: “Que investiguen ellos, que busquen ellos. Nosotros estamos aquí con la boca abierta”.
El Misterio Creador, a través de esos cambios y esas diferencias tan abismales en algunos casos, nos muestra todo ese caudal de recursos de los que está dotado el ser para dar esos saltos.
No hay que esperar a otros. Hay que andar con nuestras propias piernas.
Y así, en la medida en que vemos esas impresiones que nos produce el asombro de los cambios y las variables que la vida nos va ofreciendo a través de nuestra presencia… Que, en definitiva, es la presencia de lo divino la que posibilita providencialmente que ocurra esto o aquello.
El vivir reclama continuamente el deber de servir, como una forma, una manera de descubrirnos en la comunión con el Misterio Creador. Y en la medida en que tenemos esa actitud, la Providencia se nos muestra, las capacidades se despiertan, los optimismos se muestran y los límites desaparecen.
Tenemos el deber de mostrar –de “mostrar” en el sentido de muestra, de evidencias- que nuestras posibilidades de recursos no tienen límites. Sin duda, cada cual hará “a su paso”, claro, pero nunca se agotarán esos pasos. Y cada paso de cada uno debe considerarse –porque así lo es, aunque no se pueda ver- como un paso… sin fin.
Cada acción del ser se propaga vibracionalmente hacia la totalidad.
Y, en consecuencia, nunca terminamos, nunca nos jubilamos, sino que hacemos júbilo. Es muy diferente. Hacemos júbilo de nuestros progresos, de nuestras descubridoras formas de hacer.
En esa medida nos sentimos universos y creaciones continuadas.
Damos por bueno ese ama-necer: ese nacer diario que se nos da sin exigirnos y sin pedirnos.
Y así, en la medida en que nosotros replicamos en ese dar, nuestro compromiso sale espontáneo. No precisa del reclamo de otro. Pero sabemos que tenemos que contar con los otros, que también somos nosotros.
Porque nosotros somos “otros” para otros. Y de alguna forma, esa es la visión que nos da la posibilidad de sentirnos unidad, sentirnos comunidad, sentirnos proyectados hacia un estado de continuo descubrir y permanente asombro.
El cumplir continuado… nos hace eternos futuros… sin marcha atrás.

Living continually calls for the duty to serve

And we remember the insults, we remember the dislikes, we remember the failed attitudes, we remember the mistakes of others, we remember the failures, and we create the great storehouse of memory, not historical one, but of prejudices, to use it in the present and towards the future.
Likewise, we also remember what has been successful, what has been achieved, what has been done, in order to justify our apathy, lack of interest, and our complacency of the present and future.
Memories are gathering once again –thus, in this polarity- to justify a passive present and a future without existence, which will surely repeat what it criticised or what it admired. And there it will remain. And consequently, evolution will not be seen; the attitude of discovering, learning and incorporating something to serve, for the duty to serve... remains unfulfilled.
And so the stories become chronicles and events become repetitive.
It is good to remember what drives, what generates, what increases that has been verified and experienced.
Undoubtedly, it is one of the capacities of memory.
The Prayerful Call involves us, in each encounter, new and different approaches to everyday realities with the mission –yes, they call to the mission- of building new realities that free us from the yoke of habit, comfort, security and the criticism of the permanent "accident".
All this leads us to classify the whole environment with rules, laws or dictates that takes roots, that become fixed.
Where is hope in all of this? Where is the journey towards the unknown?
The analysis of the present and future based on the out-dated root of what has already happened does not promote the liberating, service nature of the being, but rather accommodates it, giving it the –in inverted commas- "security" of what is repetitively done.
And so, any innovation, any declaration of something different from the established order, becomes a mountain; it becomes a mountain to climb and... almost impossible to achieve.
The everyday becomes a problem, and hardly appears the attitude of solving, of resolving...; the duty to correct, the duty to intervene, participate... as a necessary event; making service a duty, and not –as usually happens- the claiming one’s rights without having fulfilled one’s duties.
The Prayerful Call urges us to interpret this duty as a necessity: the necessity of being, in its service. Yes. If each being appears in Creation because it is needed and essential –"needed and essential"- and is provided with resources for this purpose, then duty becomes a necessity. And through service, the expectations of the present and the future are fulfilled.
And so, seeing duty as... not an obligation, not an imposition, but what is needed, life moves forward based on needs, and requires the fulfilment of duties in order for those needs to be satisfied.
And so, when the being feels needed, that it is needed, it enthusiastically and decisively offers its service, to fulfil its gifts.
Service and duty thus become a unity that is in accordance with the capacities of each being.
And it is to be expected, in that position, that no one will demand anyone else’s participation, their commitment to contributing what they have and to be open to new –always-new- dispositions.
Duty is not debt, it is necessity.
Life is made and is –without being able to define it- a communal unity... whether near or far, according to our very limited measurements. There is no distance or proximity in the communion of life; it is a unity that overwhelms us, and... we are designed within it. We cannot escape. Where to?
Is perhaps the individualist, personal and sectarian one outside the unity of the communion of life?
No. On the contrary: it is taking advantage of that communion, in order to hijack and enslave it, something it will never achieve. But it may temporarily appear to be so.
It is often thought that our duties are fulfilled...
But if we deepen in our communion with the Creator Mystery, fulfilment is a limit.
Life goes beyond fulfilment.
And when we situate ourselves in life, according to the suggestions of the Creator Mystery, there is no limit at any point...; yes –according to the course of life- a progressive advance... which can be seen more or less, but which is there, since we are there and we continue to be there.
The desire to reduce duties and services to a "fulfilled" moment prevents us from leaping into the unknown, into what has not yet been learnt.
It is necessary to discover oneself in the unknown. It is necessary to focus on what can be, on what comes, without knowing what it is. And to abandon old formulas and pronouncements, because with them we remain trapped in the past.
To challenge tendencies, to challenge indolence, to challenge habit, to challenge judgment...; challenging without violence, with the forcefulness of action, with the sample of duties served that enable the actions of others. And in turn, the doing of others enables us to experience other events.
Everything happens simultaneously, even if we struggle to find the connection, even if we struggle to understand it.
The concept of "understanding" is linked to possession, managing, manipulating.
More than understanding it is about incorporating that which promotes us, that which makes us defy the impossible.
If we look –as an example- at skills already assumed as possible, such as reading, writing..., before they actually happen, if we think about it sensibly, it seems almost impossible.
And we have to repeat and repeat and repeat that letter, and another and another one. And if we do it with the awareness that it is achieved, it is because we have previous experience. But from a purely methodological and capacity-based point of view, –that learner of language, letters and words appears- as impossible.
It is a simple and perhaps not very operating example, but if we consider what it has meant, in the evolutionary development of humankind, to be able to establish writing, reading... it has undoubtedly modified our perspectives at all levels.
As an example, it can serve us –consequently- as a reference point when facing difficulties, obstacles and other situations that seem unapproachable.
It doesn’t have to be a tiring and difficult climb... to assume new skills, new responsibilities, different possibilities. It’s enough to remember, when faced with these own difficulties, the evolutions that have taken place, which haven’t been satisfied with: "Oh, that's just the way it is".
If the community of life had been content with any of the past eras, and hadn’t taken the leap to new perspectives, life as a unified whole would have disappeared.
And the fact that this continues is due to our incorporation –while discarding stagnant positions- our incorporation of astonishing innovations.
Today we take for granted for example, to open an iPhone, a tablet or any of these devices and, in just one hour, we have the main newspapers, the main news agencies at our fingertips.
If we had remain stuck with the morning paper, with the need to buy this or that evening paper, and to leaf through it, we would not have made the leap to having an amplified view of current events in an instant.
And we see it as normal now...; but it has undoubtedly involved an effort, a dedication, research, deduction, belief, learning.
Today, for example, we see more films than ever before. And today, more than ever, cinemas are empty. For example. It's not that it's better or worse, but it's been an absolutely great change, having access to a daily, continuous stream of films... when not so long ago you had to get a ticket and see when you could go.
We can choose any aspect –any aspect- of our daily lives, to see that the dedication, service and duty of those who saw beyond the established norms have changed the lasts and the rules.
A letter used to take a week, ten days, depending on its destination. Today, a letter takes seconds, minutes, while it is written or read, almost instantly.
And this has happened –and I insist, thousands of examples could be giving in any other area- it has happened because there have been human beings who have dedicated themselves to their duties and service. They have committed to innovation. They have challenged the impossible.
And this unified event, represented in some, is not only a heroic feat for those who promoted it –which it is, but it is not only that-; it demonstrates that it is possible for everyone.
We cannot simply accept the idea: "Let them investigate, let them search. We are here astounded”.
The Creator Mystery, through these changes and these abysmal differences in some cases, reveals to us the vast array of resources with which humankind is endowed to make these leaps.
We do not have to wait for others. We have to walk on our own legs.
And so, to the extent that we see those impressions produced by the wonder of the changes and variables that life offers us through our presence... That, ultimately, is the presence of the divine that providentially makes this or that to happen.
Living continually calls for the duty to serve, as a way, a manner of discovering ourselves in communion with the Creator Mystery. And to the extent that we have this attitude, Providence reveals itself to us, our abilities are awakened, optimism emerges and limitations disappear.
We have the duty to show –to "show" in the sense of proof, of evidence- that our potential resources are limitless. Undoubtedly, everyone will do "at their own pace", of course, but those steps will never be exhausted. And each step taken by each individual should be considered –because it is so, even if it unseen- as a step... without end.
Each action of the being propagates through vibrations towards the whole.
And, consequently, we never finish, we never retire, but rather we rejoice. It is very different. We rejoice in our progress, in our innovative ways of doing things.
To that extent we feel like universes and continuous creations.
We accept this loving-dawn: this daily birth that is given to us without demanding or asking anything of us.
And so, to the extent that we replicate in this giving, our commitment spontaneously arises. It does not require the demand of another. But we know that we must rely on others, who are also us.
Because we are "others" for others. And in a way, that is the vision that allows us to feel united, to feel like a community, to feel projected towards a state of continuous discovery and permanent wonder.
Continuous accomplishment... makes us eternal futures... with no turning back.
